Random

Thank you for the support and words of encouragement that I got after sharing Lyra's story. I can't express enough how much those comments mean to me.

Today I'm meeting up with two local women who have both lost their daughters within the last 4 months. This is my first purposeful attempt to meet up with other babylost mamas - so I'm a little anxious, but overall excited. I'll have a few extra tissues on hand, and I will try to have a listening ear and not just ramble about myself.

  1. Way to go! If I may ask, how did you find these other mamas?

  3. Sadkitty...I couldn't find your email. Friend A, who lost her daughter & lives in another city emailed me about someone in my city who had also lost her daughter (Friend B). Friend B invited Friend C because they met through a photographer I think? Nothing particularly concise :)

  4. Rachel meeting up with other loss mums in real life is wonderful, I think. I have done it a few times now. No need to pretend or fake it. There is just that unspoken level of understanding.
I hope the meet up goes well.

  5. I've meet up with other mums before - it's always been good. Yes there's tears but it's so good to talk to someone that understands and who you can talk about it with and not be afraid they're going to say something hurtful because they don't get it.

  7. good luck with it, i haven't done it yet and am very keen to know how you go. for me doing it , the thought that they are strangers makes me really nervous as i have even been avoiding friends of late. we don't have a group here where i live, so like you we are just random women thrown together. i think you are very brave xxx anne
