While checking out at a store this week, we were asked by the cashier if we wanted to support "So and So's Diabetes something" for a dollar?

L sporadically says, "Yes, let's do $2." He filled out the little sheets with his initials on one, and mine on the other.

He then told the cashier, "We should get a third, for each member of our family." And he filled one out for Lyra.

We walked out of the store, and I loved him even more for that little act of family-ness.
