Watercolor and Pen
3.5 x 5

My Critic is in full force attack mode. I want to apologize for the smudge and for where the watercolor ran. NO. No apologizing about my art. I'm learning, and expressing, and doing. I will not let my Critic keep me from it for fear of imperfection and what people might think.

  1. I know what that inner critic is like!

For what it's worth, when I first clicked thru my RSS feed to this post, I said, "Oh!" out loud because I love these so much. SO much. They are beautiful and I'm not even sure what smudge you refer to (and I personally love how w/c looks when it runs - to me that's part of the joy of it!).

  4. They're beautiful, and I think that the flaws and smudges just make them more beautiful.

This is my first comment on your blog. You make beautiful art. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your daughter.

  5. yes- i totally know the inner critic. i am so critical of my own work, that i hardly ever even look at past pieces, unless they were etreamly emotional.it is all about the process for me- the end product never holds up!
