I do not sew - I leave that to my husband. But I did manage to jam the sewing machine a million times to make these two items: something to hold my pens, and something to hold my makeup brushes. Tada. Don't look too closely...there aren't very many straight lines :S
Great project idea! I sew, but not well and like to say my sewing projects are "folk art" which somehow makes the crooked lines alright!
ReplyDeleteThey both look great to me. x
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh this is a brilliant idea!!!
ReplyDeleteI think they look great - straight lines are overrated :-)
I didn't know that Lucas sewed. Wow! Non-straight lines show that they are made by hand with love. That's what I tell myself :)
ReplyDeleteVery useful, if not perfectly straight. Just give those crooked lines some deeper artistic meaning - like we know where we're trying to go, but life takes us down a different path.
ReplyDeletehow cool that you can take a piece of fabric and turn it into a helping hand! i love the wandering lines!
ReplyDeletestraight lines are boring.
ReplyDeleteyou did GREAT.
straight lines are not for artists.
ReplyDeletetrue artists make their own lines, just like you have done.
lovely fabric, too.
