We wondered how Dinah would react if we brought home a new little kitty for her :) Somehow I envision her having this expression to it all:
On completely separate note, we visited with a woman from our church today who's firstborn daughter died 60 years ago due to a pinched cord. She reached out to us, and we really enjoyed our time with her. It was good to hear her thoughts and know you can survive it all. 8 months out and there some moments on some days when I wonder how we're are supposed to make it. She repeated the common phrase, "Do it in your own time and speed." She mentioned feeling uncertain about other pregnant women, and situations concerning babies early on. She validated everything I was feeling. It was good.
Oh, that kitty is just so cute. I totally would have wanted to take it home. I like talking to people who are years out with their loss. They seem to offer great comfort and support.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that kitten is so freakin adorable!!! Your cat is pretty cute too:) Glad you were able to connect with someone who could validate your feelings.
ReplyDeleteThat kitten is beyond adorable! Beautiful coloring. Agreed, that it is nice talking to those women who have come before and are years out with their loss.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm...It would be fun if you brought home that kitten for Dinah (who is soooo pretty by the way). We brought home 2 in January and our older cat Milton who is 5 was ANGRY at first, but now he loves them and is more kittenish and playful because they are with him. We kept the kittens in Hadley's bedroom for about a month and slowly introduced them to Milton, he would sit outside the door and sometimes growl at them and I think they had a couple of battles but now they will all sleep together on the same bed. It's good that Dinah is a girl because our 2 boys sometimes pee in weird places. Our girl is perfect.(long comment :/)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you were able to meet that woman and talk about your babies together.
What a great day...new pet and getting to get confirmation of your emotions from someone who has lived and survived it!
ReplyDeletethat kitten does look like Lyra's tiger!!!!
