It's one of those days. I just feel sad. And another attempt at reintegrating into society didn't help.

"In love longing
I listen to the monk's bell.
I will never forget you
even for an interval
short as those between the bell notes."

~Izumi Shikibu
"The Burning Heart: Women Poets of Japan"

  1. Sorry you are feeling sad. Love the poem-I needed it today. Hugs.

Oh, an I'm sticking my tongue out at society.

  2. What a perfect poem. I wish wearing black still meant something, that if we wore black people would know to be extra tender with us. They'd put us in their pocket and keep us safe. But it doesn't work that today I am wearing my brightest tie dye so at least I will be seen.

  3. Thinking of you. Thanks for sharing the poem. Beautiful!

  4. Sorry you're having a rough day. Trying to reintegrate into society is TOUGH, especially when you're in a strange limbo between grief and joy that most people just don't understand.
